What next? Have they lost their minds? Now that the American Kennel Club has competition from breeders that will do anything to make money, there are approximately a dozen different registries that are used to coerce the public into purchasing a "registered" puppy. Even AKC has decided to capitalize on the concept of "designing their own breed". Wow! What "Creators" they are!

Now, think about it! A registration is nothing more than a piece of paper with a bunch of words on it that tell the information that you want to hear with a signature from a person that you trust is telling the absolute truth. Correct?

Registrations through a governmental agency are just that; as in your automobile registration. Those are governed by law. In other words...can be used in litigated cases. Their governing body is the state in which they are used for purchase.

Breeders have joined up to form their own puppy registries. They are their own governing body & therefore when you purchase from one of them...you have no recourse to uphold anything that they sign. Some have clauses that say...if the pup gets sick within the first week or so that they will allow you a return for another puppy. Most true pet lovers could never give their puppy up after loving it for even a day, must less a week or two.

Their registration says that Bitch A was bred to Sire C or maybe they may even have names like Betty & Bob, but the big question is...How would you know? They can breed any bitch to any sire and write registration papers all day long and the truth is you WILL NEVER KNOW. So whatever design they come up with is what you get. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
